It’s that time again: mark your calendars for July 14 to join us for another sultry Hot Night of tango and blues dancing at the loft above City Hall.
This month, we’re excited to start the evening with classes from a fantastic group of local instructors:
Having recently returned from a three month tour teaching classes across Europe, Kenny Nelson is excited to kick off the evening with a beginning blues class. A native Coloradan, Kenny has been an integral part of Denver’s dance scene as an accomplished competitive dancer and phenomenal teacher. He has competed and performed with 23 Skidoo, the Balboa Justice League, and Boulder Swing Dance. Kenny’s class will leave you with a smile on your face and the confidence to shake those hips while out on the floor.
We’ve invited local tango superstars, Nick Jones and Diana Cruz, to teach the beginning tango class. Their passion for the dance and energy as teachers are easily accessible for both beginners and tangueros alike.
Later, DJs John Miller and Kenny Nelson will masterfully mix tango and blues for your dancing pleasure. Stick around for late-night fusion with our favorite after-midnight DJ, Noah Nethero.
